Professor Fiorella Guadagni, coordinator of REVERT, Receives the Prestigious “Chimera d’Oro” Award for Medicine and Scientific Research

Professor Fiorella Guadagni, Coordinator of the REVERT project and a pioneer in precision medicine, has been honored with the Chimera d’Oro Award for her exceptional contributions to biomedical research. The award recognizes her groundbreaking work in diagnostic methodologies and anti-cancer treatments, as well as her leadership in innovative scientific initiatives.

Professor Guadagni, who heads the Biobank, Advanced Biotechnology, and Biomarker Discovery Unit at IRCCS San Raffaele and serves as Full Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology at the University San Raffaele in Rome, was celebrated for her international achievements. These include her role at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, USA, and her instrumental discoveries in oncology.

The award ceremony took place on Monday, November 18, at the Teatro Petrarca in Arezzo during a gala evening marking the 50th anniversary of Teletruria, Italy’s first private television network. The event celebrated six prominent figures from Arezzo who have significantly impacted their fields over the past five decades.

Professor Guadagni’s contributions have also been pivotal to the REVERT project, which focuses on personalized medicine for cancer treatment. Under her coordination, the project is advancing innovative strategies to harness artificial intelligence and biomarker discoveries to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

This recognition underscores Professor Guadagni’s legacy as a trailblazer in science and her unwavering commitment to advancing health outcomes through cutting-edge research.
