From April 24 to 27, 2023, UCAM Universidad Católica de Murcia held in its facilities the VII UCAM International Staff Week, a mobility of different persons from several European Universities. During their visit to the high-tech incubator in Sport, Health and Food UCAM HiTech, the representatives of the 35 institutions discovered the laboratories and the high-tech incubator where UCAM put in place its research and innovation activities. In this framework, Horacio Sanchez Perez, principal investigator of the UCAM Research Group, partner of the Revert project, explained the several activities carried out since the project beginning, the results obtained so far and the next steps.
A few days later, on May 12th, Hana Hukelova of the Murcian Health Service (SMS) and David Heiser, member of the UCAM team, participated in the event: ‘Get closer to Europe in the Region of Murcia’ held in the La Merced in Murcia campus in order to present the progress of REVERT.
On May 23rd, Horacio Perez participated in Murcia in the international science festival “Pint of Science”. Lots of talks were organised to talk about health scientific advances to the general public. Mr. Perez attended as speaker in the Santino La Seda bar talk focused on technological innovations. The title of his speech was “Artificial Intelligence and the future of drug discovery: Labs or algorithms?” and he presented once again REVERT and the importance for the patients of its further impact into the health services.
