Colorectal surgeon Regional Institute of Oncology
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Regional Institute of Oncology – Iasi, Romania, is looking for a Colorectal surgeon within the REVERT team. The position is available in the H2020-SC1-BHC-2018-2020/H2020-SC1-2019-Two-Stage-RTD grant (https://www.revert-project.eu/).
The main contribution of IRO Iasi in the REVERT project wiil be on WP6, a phase II clinical trial in which patients will be treated on a single study arm according to a computer algorithm derived from the previous packages. The study will propose the use of standard therapies that can be used in the treatment for metastatic colon and rectal cancers as first line options, without interfering with the standard treatment. The Regional Oncology Institute of Iasi (IRO Iasi) will be the co-leader of WP6.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced colorectal surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team working on a groundbreaking project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in colorectal surgery and will work closely with other medical professionals in our team to provide exceptional patient care and advance the biomedical research in colorectal cancer.
- Expected competences and responsibilities
-Data and sample management;
-Collaborate with other researchers, both within the research group and the wider academic community;
-Contribute to the development and execution of the research project, clinical trials, and quality improvement initiative;
-Provide expert consultations and second opinions for challenging cases, working closely with the referring physicians and team members;
-Participation in relevant consortium meetings;
- Main requirements
-Surgeon with the main interest domain in colorectal cancer
-Higher education in medical sciences- Master degree from an accredited college or university in medicine or an equivalent degree at the level of state examination in medicine and have had at least 5 years-experience in colorectal and vascular surgery (high number of segmental colectomies, hemicolectomies, total colectomies, low anterior rectal resection, colostomies performed).
-Communication skills, fluent in both English and Romanian.
-Commitment to professional development of his/her own career.
-Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
-Previous experience in teaching or mentoring students.
-Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
-Experience presenting research findings at conferences and workshops.

PhD Researcher Position at Regional Institute of Oncology

The Regional Institute of Oncology – Iasi, Romania, is looking for a PhD Researcher within the REVERT team. The position is available in the H2020-SC1-BHC-2018-2020/H2020-SC1-2019-Two-Stage-RTD grant (https://www.revert-project.eu/).

We will enroll the patients will stage IV colorectal cancer in first line of treatment based on biomarkers provided by the previous results of the study.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting original research under the supervision of a principal investigator, with the aim of contributing to the body of knowledge within their field of study. The PhD student will be expected to develop their research skills, engage with the wider academic community, and contribute to the overall success of the research group.

-Baseline and on treatment clinical evaluations;

-PhD Student with the main research in colorectal cancer and artificial intelligence field.
-Higher education in medical sciences- Master degree from an accredited college or university in medicine or an equivalent degree at the level of state examination in medicine and have had at least two years medical oncology residency training in a Romanian institution.
-Communication skills, fluent in both English and Romanian.
-Computer skills, particularly word, excel, power point.

-Previous experience in teaching or mentoring students.
